Materials and techniques you will explore include (but are not limited to) polymer clay, wire, beading, creating your own findings, including clasps and ear wires, and more.You may want to create art jewelry, you may want to create small-scale vessels and sculpture, you may want to create a handcrafted journal … or do all of the above.
Design principles will also be explored, including how to make jewelry fit a body well and how to make small art such as journals or vessels functional and inviting. Students may bring their not-yet-begun ideas, half-finished projects and almost-but-not-quite-right creations for collaborative help on taking them to the next level. Denise and Ronna will both be in the classroom during instructional time so every student has lots of personal time with each teacher.
